Ullrika Sahlin awarded project money at Climate-KIC Ideation Day

Ullrika Sahlin, risk specialist at Lund University, was awarded 15 000 Euros for her project "gaming for better decisions under uncertanty"at the Climate-KIC Ideation Day II this Tuesday. Ullrikas project aims at developing a fun and educational game for decision makers where they can develop skills in making decisions on climate related issues with consideration of risk and uncertainty.

The second Ideation Day this year organized by Climate-KIC Nordic took place in Aarhus, Denmark 22 of August and featured no less than 20 interesting project ideas. These 20 ideas was selected among the 40 project ideas that had originally been suggested. Among the ideas presented, a jury chose to finance 13 projects that were awarded either 5, 10, 15 or 20 000 Euros. During an Ideation Day the project owner’s get the chance to develop their projects and to add partners to the consortia with the help of each other, the audience and the Climate-KIC staff.

Ullrika Sahlins project will be developing a functioning game prototype demonstrating real climate risk scenarios.

Look out for news on the next Ideation Day that will probably be held in the beginning of next year. This is a good opportunity to get seed funding for innovation projects that might in a later phases be expanded with further Climate-KIC or other types of funding.
