Fantastic Fossil Free Futures

futuristic picture, illustration

What will everyday life in a fossil free society be like? Let´s find out together!
By the year 2050 the world must have reached net zero Co2 emissions in order to reach the climate goal of 1,5 degrees global warming. Today 80% of all energy generation consists of fossil fuels (coal oil and gas). What will the fossil free society of 2050 look like, in Sweden and in the rest of the world?

Climate-KIC@lu organise this seminar in order to strengthen interdisciplinary cooperation and innovation within the climate field. We want to deepen our understanding on what the Fossil free future society will be like, starting from basic questions like:

- How do we live?
- Where do we live?
- What do we eat?
- What do we work with and how do we travel to work?

Leading experts from different areas will share their views on our fossil free future. The participants will work together with the experts to further develop visions and discuss what actions are needed.

The visions and ideas will be collected and inform the development of a ”Travel guide to the fossil free society” that is being developed within the projects REINVENT and Climaginaries.

The event is organised by Climate-KIC@LU and aims to strengthen interdisciplinary cooperation and innovation within the climate field.

The seminar is part of the upcoming Future Week, arranged by Lund University 14-20 October 2019.

Pre-registration is required for this event. Registration is closed.
